The guys from Melbourne University travelled south to our little Isle for a week long dive trip at Bicheno. Over the seven days of diving, six TUDC members headed up and hit the water for the first combined University club dive in a few years.

Diving around Governors Island, Bird Rock, Isle de Phoques, and cray hunting outside of the marine reserve were all on the schedule, and none of which disappointed!

Water temperature sat around 13.5 degrees, and the highlight of the whole week was on the last dive of Sunday morning. The last boat of divers were pulled out of the water and no more than 40m away from the boat a Southern Wright whale calf breached out of the water and started showing off! Even though we weren't able to get in and swim with the majestic creatures, we followed the pod of four whales for half an hour until they dropped down out of sight.
