The Tinderbox marine reserve is home to a diverse range of marine life. Skates, Southern Rock Lobster, Urchins, Eels, Parrot Fish, and many more can be seen and observed. Although at times the Tinderbox site holds a strong current, it is a popular site for night divers and explorers, with the marine reserve stretching roughly around 300m of coastline.
If drift diving or night diving isn't for you, as well as a snokel trail off to the right of the beach there is an artificial reef sitting out from the boat ramp in around 10m of water... sheltered from the currents! Tinderbox is a great place for beginner divers and an excellent place to find abundant marine life.
