 usgrave  - William Hilston\nBetsey Island Wrecks\n\n\nSince 1916\, the ar
ea to the west of Little Betsy Island has been used for the disposal of un
wanted ships. This has created a huge concentration of 18-35m wreck dives
very close to Hobart. The wrecks are very interesting\, and most of the hu
lls are intact and home to a vast array of marine life. The floating bridg
e sections are covered in massive yellow and white Jewel Anemones. The wre
ck of the S.S "Leura" also attracts hordes of school fish.\n\nMost of the
wrecks are reasonably safe to enter\, but you will need torches (tick if y
ou want to rent one).\n\nADVANCED OPEN WATER WITH RECENT DIVES REQUIRED.\n
\nLet's go down on some old wrecks :)\n\nMeeting at Dive Sheds\, Olinda Gr
ove Sports Grounds\n\nUse of club Regs\, BCD and weights are included in t
he cost of the dive if needed\, you will need your own wetsuit\, fins and
mask.\n\nAnyone unwell must not attending club events.

SUMMARY:Mount Brown Point (AKA 15 Bar Reef) Exploratory Dive + Matts Birthd
 ay
DESCRIPTION:On the TUDC Easter dive weekend we potentially found a new dive
site.\n\nIt was too rough to dive Black Rock and we didn't have enough fu
el to go further north so we dropped in below the cliffs of Mount Brown on
the Sothern point of Port Arthur.\n\nYellow zoanthids\, sea whips\, soft
corals...  Rumor has it one diver was so excited they lost track of their
air....\n\nThe plan is to go back and explore the site.... Join us on an
adventure to find a new dive site!\n\nThe site is exposed so there is the
potential for currents and swell. So please be comfortable in these condit
ions and bring an SMB.\n\nMy Birthday is on the Friday so let's have a bee
 r after!\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n
