Dive Club Mission Statement

The TUDC endevours to make Scuba Diving accessible to all divers, with a particular focus on helping students continue diving through their degree’s. We provide inexpensive access to gear and club dives.

The club owns owns two boats; a 15 ft Tristar aluminium and a 20 ft rigid inflatable, and has a selection of tanks, BCD’s, Regulators, weight belts, torches, and safety gear that are all available exclusively for TUDC members.

Where do we dive and how regularly?

Adventure Bay, Bellerive beach, Bicheno, Blackmans bay blowhole, Cathedral Caves, Fortescue bay, Hobart docks, Isle de Phoque, Nine Pin Pont, Tinderbox Marine reserve and Maria Island are local favourites with members, although there are no limits to where we explore!

Our Northern Chapter frequently dives the Tamar Mouth, Tenth Island Seal Colony, and many others.

As a club we attempt to organise a night dive, 2 single day trips and a full weekend trip every month. Club dives include rental of club gear – tanks, regs, BC and weight belts! All club dives can be found on our dive calendar as soon as they are confirmed. If you have a particular weekend free that we don’t have a dive planned for and you are keen to get in the water, then send us a spiel about your plans and we will post it up for other members to get involved!

TUDC Divers Code

The following divers code should be observed when diving during TUDC club trips: TUDC Divers Code

* Our first priority is your safety, and as we cannot control the weather be aware that all club diving may deviate from its original plan or be cancelled.
