Fisher point area is home to some of the last easily accessible kelp forest (Macrocystis pyrifera). As the waters in Tasmania warm, they aren’t expected to remain here long term.
This time of year, the Kelp is as good as it will get. When growth is vigorous, the kelp forest is crowned by a dense surface canopy. The canopy acts as a nursery for juvenile fishes, attracting swirling schools of small bait fish and predatory fish.
We will be meeting at the Dive Shed at 8am, driving to Dover to launch the boat – weather dependent.
There can be a bit of swell in this area, and we will be on a boat so please consider your own safety and prepare accordingly.

Refunds
Refunds are at the Dive Coordinator's discretion however the following guidelines apply to normal events:
Cancellation where a replacement diver is found: 100% refund
No show or cancellation with less than 48 Hours notice: 0% refund
Cancellation with greater than 48 Hours but less than a week's notice: 50% refund
Cancellation with greater than a week's notice: 100% refund
