The geogetown monument, ‘Pattersonson Monument’, is at the top end of Georgetown, and on the other side of the river to Garden Island in the north.
A deep river channel at the mouth of the Bass Straight, the area is prone to fast flowing currents and is the thoroughfare for many large ships. It’s for this reason the dive is best approached by confident divers.
Despite that it hosts beautiful sponge gardens, reefs and blue water.
We have planned the dive for slack water and it is important that we are ready and in the water on time. The slack tide is at 12.30 so we will be in the water at 12 and out by 1. Meet at the sheds at 10 to organise gear and carpooling.
Ticket prices:
If you need gear, please purchase the $10 ticket. If you provide your own tank, gear (and tank fill) the dive is free.
PlEASE AlSO BRING $10 to chip in for petrol for designated driver for the carpool.

Refunds
Refunds are at the Dive Coordinator's discretion however the following guidelines apply to normal events:
Cancellation where a replacement diver is found: 100% refund
No show or cancellation with less than 48 Hours notice: 0% refund
Cancellation with greater than 48 Hours but less than a week's notice: 50% refund
Cancellation with greater than a week's notice: 100% refund
