Hey divers, let’s head over to the Iron Pot lighthouse for a dive!
Meet at the Olinda Grove dive shed at 8:00am! We will then go to Margate Jetty (Dru Point) to launch the boats and head over to IronPot for a dive, and Eastern Tinderbox for another.
The Ironpot Island itself has some great marine life to see, and there’s a good sized ‘tunnel’ into an expansive cave underneath the island that we’ll seek to visit.
Please bring a torch (if you have one), warm clothes and lunch/water for the boat.
Iron Pot is a small flat sandstone island at the entrance to the Derwent river. It is part of the Betsey Island Group. “The Iron Pot” hosts the second oldest lighthouse built in Australia and is the oldest original tower in Australia.
Depths of 2-12m – this is an excellent dive for any diver.
Anyone unwell must not attending club events.
Club dive gear to be washed with approve solution at the end of dive.
Hand sanitiser will be available at the dive.
Please maintain social distancing of 1.5m wherever possible during the event.
Bookings are closed for this event.
