Morning Dive – Crayfish Point (Taroona)
We’re off to Crayfish Point!!
Easy beach access to the water with tables and beaches to gear up.
We will follow an outlet pipe that goes far into the Derwent, seeing things such as schooling fish, sponges, draughtboard sharks and crayfish. Lots of crayfish, early start so all marine life will be feeding.
This is a marine reserve, so it’s a great opportunity to see a pristine temperate water reef thriving close to Hobart – However, it’s a no take zone for marine life
Early Start: Meet at 6:30 am sharp, Crayfish Point in Taroona for a morning dip then coffee after.
Requested TUDC Rental Gear (included in ticket cost) will be picked up the night before – if you have to shoot off to work then I’m happy to wash up gear for you
