TUDC Club Day, BBQ & AGM

Club day info:

  • Free SCUBA diving  ~  Free gear use  ~  Free BBQ

Tinderbox Marine Reserve Diving : one of TUDC’s favourite sites, Tinderbox is an easy entry/exit dive, local residents include octopus, dumpling quid, common squid (common but still cool), the brightly coloured cow fish, goat fish, sea horses, velvet crabs, hermit crabs, draught board sharks, mantis shrimp and all types of rays and other fishy friends, and loads of very large lobsters!!! A great dive to see iconic Tas marine life, great for photography and video.

Two options to dive – explore the tyre reef and other treasures – or head along the beautiful diverse reef.  Max depth ~ 12 mtrs.

This is also a great day for inexperienced divers – there will be experienced committee members on hand to help out.

Meeting at Olinda Grove Mt. Nelson Dive Shed at 9.00am to collect gear, or 10am at Tinderbox if you have your own gear (or just need a tank).

  • Tinderbox BBQ:  We will fire up the tinderbox BBQ for lunch, with meat and veg options available.

Annual General Meeting:  The main purpose of the AGM is to elect the Executive and Committee for the 2026/27 dive season. Duties of the positions are below.

To vote at the meeting you will need to be a financial member for this year: Click here to get your Membership

TUDC Duties

Gear Rentals – Man the gear store for hiring and return of equipment, rotating roster.

Club Dives – Each member must organise a minimum of 2 per year. This includes promoting the dive, organising gear and accommodation if needed. Dive Officers are responsible for organising the bulk of club diving, and it is expected that they will organise many more than 2 dives per year.
