Join me at White Beach to harvest a bounty of scallops and crays for the last weekend of the season. The first dive we’ll be chasing scallops at the famous ‘secret spot’. The second dive would likely be at the rocky (and kelpy) shores of Sloping Main or Wedge Island.
You do not need a fishing licence to come on this trip, not everyone will be chasing a feed. A licence is essential if you are going to be harvesting scallops, abalone and/or crayfish. This can be purchased online. Details can be found here: https://dpipwe.tas.gov.au/sea-fishing-aquaculture/recreational-fishing/recreational-sea-fishing-licences
We will be meeting Sunday 30th April at White Beach boat ramp at 10:00am. Gear hire will need to be done in advance.
There can be a bit of swell in this area, and we will be on a boat so please consider your own safety and prepare accordingly.
