Find families of crayfish all along the outlet pipe down into the Derwent, and wish them a Happy Mother’s Day while you’re at it! (We’ll be back in time for any phone calls you need to make 😉 ). There could be schooling fish, sponges and draughtboard sharks as well.
This marine reserve is an easy dive with easy beach access to the water and a maximum depth of approximately 12m.
We will meet at the TUDC shed (Olinda Grove) at 2pm and then car pool down to Crayfish Point. Let me know by reply email if you need help getting to the shed!
If you need gear and/or a tank, it’s $15.
If you have all your own gear including tanks, the dive is free but please register so we know numbers.
