Who would have thought you could cruise through a giant kelp forest, check out a colourful sponge garden or drop off a wall covered in coral all only 45 mins from Launceston? Farewell Beacon is the last beacon in the shipping channel in the Tamar River, and is one of the best dives in northern Tas.
High tide’s at 2:45, so we’re planning on having all our kit ready to load onto Go Dive’s boat at Kelso jetty at 2:15.
Cost of the dive is $10 deposit online + $40 cash on the day. Remember to bring your cert cards. All bookings are needed by Thursday, after which any leftover spaces will be opened up to Go Dive club members. The TUDC north dive shed is open from 5:00-5:30 for you to hire any gear you need.
Remember to bring $40 cash on the day, and no cert card, no dive!
