Probably the most underrated and accessible dive spots in northern Tas, Fish and Farewell Beacons in the mouth of the Tamar River are home to an incredibly colourful and diverse invertebrate community. Choice of beacon depends on the weather – this time we might try and head out to Fish Beacon, probably the most colourful dive in the river and home to a ton of fish, nudibranchs and soft corals! We’ll leave from Kelso boat ramp in Go Dive’s boat in time to hop in right at slack high tide. Don’t forget to hire out gear you need from the TUDC dive shed beforehand.
The cost for the dive is $55 ($15 deposit online + $40 cash on the day). $5 discount on the deposit for having your own tank, another $5 off for having all your own gear. Remember to bring your cert cards on the day!
You’ll never look at the muddy old Tamar the same again!
