The Tinderbox Marine Reserve has a surprising variety of marine life set amidst a small ‘kelp forests’. Here you can find Potbelly Seahorses, Draughtboard Sharks, Pale Octopus, Shaw’s Cowfish’s, Southern Rock lobster and colourful sponges and soft corals.
Tinderbox reserve is a great place for a dive, the reef extends into deeper water. Night diving along the edge of the reef is a good place to see volutes and gurnards.
TUDC will provide light sticks. Meeting at the Dive shed at 6pm we’ll convoy down (7pm at Tinderbox if you prefer).
Post diving rehydration at Blackmans Bay after the dive.
If you need to borrow a club torch, please remember to bring your own 4xC-size batteries.
