Did someone say Open Water Cert, Wreck Dive?? Yep!
The 55m former hopper barge the ‘Troy D’ was scuttled in 2007 in Mercury Passage, just 1km off Maria Island. Divers get full access to every compartment, (Wheel House/bridge, cargo holds, toilets and the engine room). Over a decade of marine life has made this wreck home, expect to see lots of fish and even ‘Clown Nudibranchs’ if you’re lucky
The bottom of the boat sits at a max depth of 24m, if you stay on the wreck you can stay above the 18m limit for open water divers – so all divers welcome.
After a cruisey coastal drive to Triabunna, The Troy D is just 20mins by boat
Weather Dependent: We will also consider other dives in the area such as the “Three Sleeve Wonder” and/or “Millies Mounds”
Please bring a torch!
