Shore diving Blackmans Bay blowhole specifically searching for weedys to photograph, helping out some researchers who are documenting population densitys in the Derwent estuary. We dived with the team in January this year and , found two weedys which they photographed and , took some samples for DNA identification. The plan is for local dive volunteers to visit the same site 4 times a year to try and find the same ,[hopefully others as well!] individuals , photograph them and, report our findings back to the researchers for their program.
Come along with your camera and help out if you can. Even if you don’t have a camera just join the dive for a really diverse marine location so close to the capital.
Open to all divers.
